Accessibility Student Advisory Board
The Office for Access and Equity and Student Disability Services are pleased to announce the creation of the Office of the Provost’s Accessibility Student Advisory Board for Academic Year 2019-2020. The Office of the Provost’s Accessibility Student Advisory Board is a group of University of Chicago students that meets twice per quarter to serve as liaisons between the Office of the Provost and students (College, graduate and professional) regarding the accessibility of the University of Chicago campus and issues specific to students in the University community with disabilities.
Advisory Board Charge
- To provide student feedback and input on existing programs and resources that address accessibility and campus-wide awareness of disability-related issues.
- To identify and implement effective ways to inform and educate the University community about existing services and programs.
- To use student input to identify areas where there may be a lack of knowledge regarding University resources and provide recommendations to increase campus-wide awareness of the importance of accessibility.
Advisory Board Eligibility
- Current enrollment as a University of Chicago College, graduate or professional student.
- Available to attend Student Advisory Board meetings that will be held on Hyde Park campus.
- In good academic standing with the University of Chicago.
- Must complete an application and participate in an in-person interview.
