Equal Opportunity Programs News & Announcements

The University is fundamentally committed to values that promote the full participation of all members of our community.  The University has created the Office for Sexual Misconduct Support and Resources, the Office for Access and Equity, the Office for Affirmative Action, and the Office for Military-Affiliated Communities to coordinate equal opportunity program efforts, and provide consultation, support and resources to the University community.  This page will feature news of University initiatives.


Office for Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Support

  • Launched the Bringing in the Bystander program, which is a community responsibility approach to safely intervening in situations that involve, or are at risk for, sexual violence (link to attached email)
  • Produced educational videos on Individuals with Title IX Reporting Responsibilities, Bystander intervention, University Policy, Consent, and Reporting
  • Participated in the AAU Campus Climate Survey on Sexual Misconduct Prevalence
  • Awarded the 2019 EVERFI Impact Award for excellence in sexual assault prevention programming

Office for Access and Equity

Office for Affirmative Action

  • Created customized in-person compliance trainings for divisions and schools, and collaborated with the Office of the Provost on University-wide applicant tracking system training
  • Hosted the Ivy Plus Equal Employment Opportunity meeting of peer institutions to share experiences, insights, and best practices.
  • Expanded University outreach to individuals with disabilities and veterans
